7000 simulations, i killed a lot of people, but the one person that i couldn't kill, was you. so i killed myself, over and over again, but when things got to be too bad, there was one place i would go to in my mind, here, with you, you were my safe place. but not anymore...

如果說《陸上行舟》還帶有元電影式的夢想的餘地，《阿基爾》便是完全肢解了拓荒者貪婪的美夢，殘忍得連「虛無」一詞都被荒野生吞活剝了。半個世紀前、在原始叢林中、用紀錄片的方式、拍古裝片，倘若production多半分「精確」，人在環境中的自發性、大自然的不可征服感或許便削減無數。影片一如既往的有些沈悶，但對於production的想像令人興奮。
