本来的小说，denis johnson是用中美洲的大背景as an allegory for hell；indiewire有个评论介绍这个“ two white foreigners who fall in love (or at least fuck a lot) against the ... political tensions is a cryptic & carnal search for a way out of purgatory”。哈哈，正如the cop asks，“you think all this is exotic, huh?” 感觉把背景改成covid不是很有意义…… 不如不改。不过穿border那里想到了一些疫情间，比如一对老年情侣一人带一把椅子在border两侧坐着聊天这样的新闻。音乐太好听了。我觉得德尼x denis johnson这个组合真是非常妙… 叙事的感觉还是很johnson，电影的render去掉了一些johnson的masculinity… 又是导演擅长的题材。但总觉得看得不太舒畅 可能是有些镜头怪怪的 倒是让我非常想去再读一些johnson 或许这次电影输了

拍的像纪录片，所有的镜头都很平淡，没有什么背景音乐，除非场景里有在放音乐，几次我都觉得很无聊看不下去，而且我看不了颓废毒品什么的情节。但是终于看到最后我有点明白，就是这样一个不温不火的状态，不是很开心不是很伤心，从来没有大笑或者大吼的时候，连讲笑话都淡淡的语调
